Software Test Automation Engineer

Nature Of The Tasks:

• Design, prepare and monitor automated tests.
• Contribute to the development of a plan to integrate automated testing within the testing process. Evaluate tools and technology for automation best fit to the digital solution applying DevSecOps approach.
• Create an approach and methodology for building a test automation architecture.
• Design and develop (new or modified) test automation solutions that meet business needs.
• Enable the transition of testing from a manual to an automated approach.
• Create automated test reporting and metrics collection.
• Develop and maintain robust, scalable, and reusable test automation frameworks for web, API, and backend testing.
• Integrate automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline to enable continuous testing and provide fast feedback on build quality.
• Collaborate with manual testers and developers to identify automation opportunities, create automated test cases for regression suites, and promote a shift left testing mentality.

Specific expertise and technologies:

• Knowledge of test automation technologies, frameworks (e.g., Selenium WebDriver, Cypress, RestAssured), and techniques for web, API, and mobile testing.
• BDD Frameworks: hands-on experience with Cucumber JVM or Behave to translate functional requirements into user-friendly automated scenarios,
• Knowledge of automated test generation with the use of Generative AI.
• Testing Fundamentals: solid understanding of software QA methodologies, including test design techniques such as equivalence partitioning and boundary value analysis,
• Experience in the test data management.
• Proficiency in Java, strong command of Open JDK (11, 17, 21), including advanced features such as Streams, Collections, and Lambda expressions for efficient step definitions.
• Performance Testing Expertise: Skilled in designing and implementing performance and load tests using Apache JMeter to ensure system stability under stress.
• Frontend Context: Familiarity with Angular and SCSS to support effective object identification,
• Data Handling: Protocol Buffers, Jackson, and Gson for data serialization validation,
• Testing Frameworks: JUnit and TestNG for suite orchestration and execution, Playwright
• Build & CI/CD: Maven, Gradle, Jenkins, and GitLab CI,
• Databases: Oracle; ability to write complex SQL queries,
• Security & Auth: JJWT (Java JWT) for testing Bearer tokens, OAuth 2.0, and OpenID Connect,
• Knowledge of grant lifecycle management processes (submission, evaluation,agreements, reporting, amendments)

Education:

University degree corresponding to Level 7 of the European Qualifications Framework (which typically corresponds to a master’s level or 5 years of higher education), and minimum 10 years of IT professional experience;

University degree corresponding to Level 6 of the European Qualifications Framework (which typically corresponds to a bachelor’s level or 3 years of higher education) and minimum 12 years of IT professional experience
